Short Throw Shifters

We modify stock shifters to mechanically shorten the throw. Typically the throw can be shortened from approximately 6" to approximately 4". Actual results may vary depending on the condition of the various bushings related to your shifter. New bushings are still available through the dealer and are relatively inexpensive. If you are replacing your stock shifter with our unit, it is strongly recommended that you replace your shifter bushings as well. Because this is a short throw shifter, nothing above the pivot ball is modified, meaning the reverse lockout still works and the standard shifter knob remains. These shifters will work in most 240, 740 and 940 series applications. Early 240 series vehicles with the triangulated remote shifter support cannot use this shifter.
