Underdrive Pulleys & EDIS Adapters
Avalanche has developed an underdrive front pulley that also doubles as an EDIS adapter for B20, B230 and B234 engines. While many buy this item to adapt an EDIS trigger wheel to enable programmable, electronic control over ignition, others are buying it simply because it is an underdrive pulley and they recognize the advantages of running an underdrive pulley even if they have no plans to modify the ignition system. This pulley is also milled from 6061-T6 aluminum and comes anodized. Because it works as a pulley, the anodizing serves as a protective layer from the abrasiveness of the belts and ensure longer life expectancy. These are now available in 2 or 3 groove configurations in in both B230 and B234 applications. The B234 pulleys are identical to the B230 pulley in every way except they are designed to fit the B234 crankshaft snout. These are also available in a 2 or 3 groove configuration. The B20 pulley is available in a single groove configuration.
We also offer an adapter for the B21/23 engines and are working on a complete pulley. The complication is in the 2-piece design of the B21/23 pulley so we chose to go with a straight adapter.
Now in stock...B21/23 underdrive pulleys. These are 1-piece pulleys and are currently available only in a 3-groove configuration. Note these pulleys do not have an EDIS trigger wheel mount.
